Our custom logo brownies have been really popular lately. Send us a jpeg of your business logo, or your wedding monogram, or we can create one for you. We then wrap the brownie with a coordinating ribbon to make a cute, delicious, memorable take away.

presidential tarts

We were thrilled when asked to make desserts for the DNC fundraiser at the Musuem of Natural History last night. The most important guest - President Barack Obama! The menu called for Strawberry Rhubarb Tarts, and we obliged.We hope you liked them, Mr. President!
Stop by next week, we'll have them on the menu, and try to keep them on the menu as long as we can get rhubarb at the farmer's market. Luckily, the rhubarb is plentiful right now, but not for long. I have to get to the market as soon as it opens in order to get some.

Shortstack is back!

Spring is here, and the Shortstack is back!
This is one of our most popular items on the menu, and it is here for a limited time.

The 'shortstack' is part one of my answer to the bacon craze. It first appeared on our menu in the spring of 2009, but has been in my head for a few years. I am really excited to be able to have a forum to share it - so come on in to the bakery and try it!

Just in case you haven't heard - the 'shortstack' is composed of layers of housemade pancakes that are drenched in Maple OJ Emulsion and accented with Bacon Candy and Candied Bacon.

Butterscotch Pot de Creme

There has been a bit of "Buzz"(yes, pun intended...) about our Butterscotch Pot de Creme.

I have been inspired by the recent trend in Mixology, and decided to create a Mixology line.

First up - Butterscotch pot de Creme made with Glenlivet Scotch.

Now this is not your old school Hard Candy in a yellow wrapper kind of butterscotch - this is the real deal. We cook out the alcohol, so there isn't that alcohol burn that you sometimes get in desserts. This is the flavor of sweet cream, brown sugar, and The Glenlivet Scotch.

As you may or may not know, we change our menu a little bit every day, so be sure to call (310.559.9933) or email us to make sure that we will have some ready for you.

We have a few more items on the "Mixology" line - a stout cake for St.Patrick's Day, and our Rum Raisin cookies.
